In this special theater-concert, romantic classical, Jewish, Romanian, Hungarian, and famous film music themes seamlessly intertwine. The duo Molthoff & Van Zweden has been collaborating for 30 years and has performed on numerous stages across Europe. From their extensive repertoire, they perform their favorite pieces, including works by Brahms, Dvořák, Morricone, Piazzolla, Szerban, and Williams, alongside themes like ‘Mayn Yiddishe Mame’ and ‘Aan de Amsterdamse Grachten’ (‘On the Canals of Amsterdam’).

Micha Molthoff (1968) is a violinist and soloist. Over the past years, he has developed into a highly versatile musician and has performed with artists such as Herman van Veen, Jaap van Zweden, Van Dik Hout, Ute Lemper, Toon Hermans, Orkater, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Quinteto Zárate, and many others. Micha has graced numerous renowned stages in Europe, North and South America, Australia, and Asia. Since 1990, he has been coached by Daniel van Zweden, leading to the establishment of the Micha Molthoff Ensemble and, a few years later, the violin-piano duo with whom they continue to perform.

Daniel van Zweden (1928) celebrated his 75th anniversary as a concert pianist last year. He began performing in 1945, possibly making him the longest-performing pianist in the Netherlands. Daniel has played at countless venues in Europe and collaborated with famous orchestras, including those led by Pali Lakatos and Lajos Veres. Daniel van Zweden has been a significant influence as an inspirator and teacher on the musical careers of several generations of musicians, most notably his son Jaap, the chief conductor of The New York Philharmonic and former concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
